NYC 80’s babies not only had the privilege of experiencing Hip Hop’s ‘Golden Era,’ we witnessed the birth and fusion of the Modern Southern Hip Hop sound. At one point it seemed as if No Limit Records dropped an album every week and debuted a new artist every month.
If you’re familiar with this time, you probably remember Silkk The Shocker, the smooth talking, slightly off beat rapping, surprisingly decent acting, No Limit soldier you’d least want to leave your girl around. Recently he hit the Breakfast Club for an interview, and I was so inspired by his new attitude, I decided to check out one of his newer records. His message is real, and his raps and flow are way easier to digest. I support him.
Check it out above and let me know what you think. Also check out the Breakfast Club Interview Below!
