Growing up in Harlem in the 90’s, I got the pleasure of experiening the last genuine era or pure Knick pride. Although I marched out of the womb a die hard Chicago Bulls fan, I had no choice but to respect NY Knicks basketball. Even though they never won a title, they personified brotherhood and team work.
Anthony Mason alongside Charles Oakley represented NY basketball to core. When opposing players came to NY, they were prepared to be sore the next day after going up against the bruising forwards.
We lost an icon yesterday in Anthony Mason. (48) Combined with the recent deaths of legends Jerome Kersey (52) and Earl Lloyd (86) makes it a pretty low month for NBA and sporting fans all around the world.
Here at Stone Diesel we celebrate life so check out the sick Mase highlights.
