Tempescope | The Table Top Weatherman

Ken Kawamoto is a software engineer who considers the human relationship with technology to be extremely important. His goal, “break the barrier between the digital world and the real world.”  His latest invention – the Tempescope is a tiny tabletop box that simulates real raindrops, clouds, lightning, and sunlight to indicate forecasted conditions and/or real-time weather display.

Syncing with the internet forecast sites and weather broadcast, the only limitation of the Tempescope is the snow.  Kawamoto has generously listed all necessary documentation to make his creation open source, so anyone with the technical know how could create one of their own.  He will be launching a crowdfunding campaign later this year.

Kawamoto has released the code and schematics for his device on open source, meaning that anyone with the technical chops can make one for themselves. For the rest of us, he will be launching a crowdfunding campaign later this year.
