Steampunk Jewelry by Nestre

What if you could create vintage from scratch? Well, without the help of a high quality dremel tool and bottles of bleach and substances intended to corrode.  Lithuanian artist Nestre, has created something that both Fashionista’s and Dr. Who fans could love.  Steampunk refers to technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery.

All of the following pieces are created tiny old watch guts (gears, cogs, arrows, wheels, bridges, springs etc.)  Each piece usually has a base made of antique brass, copper, or bronze.  Once all of the tiny watch parts are placed, the are held in place by a transparent resin that turns to a glass like material once dried.
