3D Fairytales | Mandarin Duck

In 2009, Latvian artist/designer Aniko Kolesnikova aka Mandarin Duck, had the epiphany to combine her  art with the age old practice of book binding.  Using both nature and fiction as her inspiration, she manages to create an amazing experience for readers prior to opening the book.

FUN FACT: Booking binding is recorded in West as ewearly as the fifth century.  Common materials used were wood, leather, cloth, and even HUMAN SKIN! (anthropodermic bibliopegy)
